Dr. Rajib Deb is a Senior Scientist at the ICAR-National Research Centre on Pig, India. He earned his BVSc & AH, MVSc, and PhD from the Indian Veterinary Research Institute. His research focuses on livestock genomics, molecular diagnostics, vaccine development, food safety, and antimicrobial resistance. Dr. Deb has developed several patented diagnostic technologies and disease detection kits for livestock, contributing significantly to animal health and food authenticity. He has received prestigious honors, including the ICMR-DHR International Fellowship, TWAS Fellowship, and INSA Visiting Scientist Fellowship, and was elected Associate Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy.
